Voorstellingen
Mechanical Vein flexes a truly unique take on bass music… a drum & bass core, with a furious blend of metal / industrial / modern bass music influences. With visceral lyrical themes ranging from political unrest to deep human connection, his music is equally suited to the heart, the fist, and the dance floor.
He’s collaborated with other heavy hitters such as Zardonic, Sinister Souls, MORIS BLAK, Saltee, Faderhead, Neuroklast, & ALVABEAT. He’s also the co-founder of HYBRID BLAK Records & a member of hybrid industrial bass metal act Biomechanimal.
Mechanical Vein performances come in either a DJ format or as a full live band with custom instrumentation, and for this event they’re bringing the barrage of the full live band for maximum impact.
Award-winning producer and DJ 𝗔𝗟/𝗦𝗢 is known for his heavy, high-energy drum and bass, blending relentless dancefloor with metal influences. With releases on labels like Korsakov, Eatbrain and High Tea, headlining UK tours, countless residencies across central Europe, plus an international award for Best Track of 2023 on dnbradio, he knows exactly how to push drum and bass beyond its limits and get the crowd go wild. Watch his set and you’ll understand why. He has promised to completely switch his set up and go almost entirely metal for Breakdown, making this an 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁 just for this night!
Multiplex
Joining him is no other than 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗫, one of the most renowned MCs in the drum and bass world, and frontman and vocalist of heavy drum and bass act Killer Hertz. As Black Sun Empire’s MC of choice, he’s spent decades bringing his signature mix of rap, vocals, sharp flows and crowd-hyping energy to festivals all around the globe. He is praised for his exact dosage and huge variety of MC-ing. He raps, he sings. He shuts up to let the music speak and hypes to lift the energy. Multiplex on the mic delivers. Every. Single. Time
Regolith Surface x Vypes [with live guitar]
If you’ve ever been to a BREAKDOWN event before, these two are no strangers to you. Once again, we welcome REGOLITH SURFACE and VYPES, on the decks and on guitar!
Ever since our first edition, this legendary duo brought fire to the dancefloor, polishing the sound that is BREAKDOWN: The ultimate mix of metalcore scream-along anthems and your favourite childhood emo classics, elevated by the sickest drum and bass and dubstep tracks. They wrote the rules for our standards, and every single time somehow manage to raise the bars once more. Fusing these genres like no others, they’re practically indispensable to any edition. So with open arms we welcome them home again.
Regolith Surface behind the decks accompanied by Vypes who, as always, brought his guitar to shred the juiciest guitar solos and heaviest riffs. Last time he played Dragonforce’s Through the Fire and Flames on Expert mode and got a solid 100% note streak. Which songs will he play this time? Place your bets below.
Expect dark, melodic Neurofunk mixed with raw metal influences, heavy double drops, distorted synths and big euphoric buildups.
