Although it might be hard to believe because we’re all so young at heart but it’s exactly TEN YEARS since we opened the doors of The Holy Ashtray, The Temple of Groom: Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier. To some just a barbershop, to many a safe haven for the wicked, the weary and the hairy…
To us it was never just a barbershop but a place to meet friends we knew and friends we were about to make, a great excuse for a party but above all a place where the music was turned on even before our brains got their daily caffeine fix to only be turned off in cases of emergencies like worldwide pandemics.
We lived fast, didn’t die and the corpses grew too fat and old to be beautiful and that is of course something to celebrate with all you guys that have supported our little shop throughout the years. The Beastie Boys taught us to fight for our right to party and that’s what we’ll do like we did so many times before on the infamous SCUMBASH festival…
We know, it sucks being at home, not going to gigs so we decided if we can’t bring you to the bands, we’ll bring the bands to you. We asked our friends at Baroeg, Rotterdam to help us organize Scumbash 4.2, a live stream of three of our favorites, SPEEDMOBILE, DIE NAKSE BANANEN and the legendary BATMOBILE!!!
